The marina of Kyparissi is located almost 30 nautical miles southern from Hydra and less than 70 miles from the marinas of the prefecture of Attica. The bay with the deep blue waters and the big beaches slightly reminds you of the Cyclades. It has two small jetties on the right and the left side of the gulf, where cruisers can be hosted especially in spring and summer because the protection provided is not sufficient for the wild winds of autumn and winter. When the weather is bad, boats head to the small port of Agios Nikolaos, opposite the beach of Agia Kyriaki, which is more sheltered. Upon request, the gas stations of Plytra can provide fuel. The settlement has two beaches named Megali (Big) and Mikri (Small), that have small, white pebbles and sand, and two kilometers away from Kyparissi is located the beach of Agia Kyriaki. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warm and calm waters and the view of the village as the sea spreads before your eyes. Behind the beach, is the cave, Thynni, with warm and shallow waters. In Kyparissi lodging services, restaurants and taverns, bars and cafeterias are available, while the area is suitable for hiking trips into the woods and the virgin mountainous landscapes, coastal walks and magnificent car drives. Visit the small port of Agios Georgios and the mountainous village Kremasti, with its fir trees and the excellent little taverns, serving unique local food and delicacies. If you go south, 12 km from Kyparissi you’ll find the entrance of the fiord of Gerakas. And Monemvasia, it is only 19 nautical miles by boat from Kyparissi.
